The Master Cleanse Diet

The Master Cleanse Diet also known as the Lemonade Cleansing Diet is really not a diet.  It is  really  a cleansing fast that is nearly 50 years old and  has been tried by millions to rid their body of toxins and improve overall wellness.

It gained a large new following when it was observed that Beyonce Knowles had used the cleanse to lose a whopping 20 pounds for her starring role in the motion picture, Dream Girls.  Since that time, it has become extremely popular as a legitimate way to lose weight.

The cleanse is  really a tonic which is made up of four simple ingredients: lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup, and water. The lemon juice is supposed to detox your body, the cayenne pepper is supposed to speed up your metabolism, while the maple syrup is for vigor. You will  consume this beverage throughout the day (usually 6 to 12 glasses a day) but will not have any other food or drink. The lowest number of days recommended for this fast is 10 while the upper limit is 45.

This diet is not recommended by most wellness professionals as it has no scientific substantiation that it works, and is considered potentially dangerous for its dearth of nutrients andside effects including cravings, moodiness, headaches and more..

Pros:

Weight loss is guaranteed.

Followers promise clearer skin, better vision, and a noticeable gain in energy.

Cons:

No scientific proof that it works.

 Missing many vital nutrients

 Weight loss is temporary

 Side effects are possible

Conclusion:

The Master Cleanse or The Lemonade Cleansing Diet can prove to be a quick solution to  losing weight  and is very popular with celebrities . If it indeed does everything it is supossed to, then it would be a great health aid. However, until there is scientific proof of this, be cautious  when trying this cleanse.
