A Natural Approach for Frequent Headaches

There are many types of pain relievers available for headache relief.

Non-prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) remedies options such as: aspirin, ibuprofen and acetaminophen. And then… there are countless numbers of prescription-strength medications used to prevent headache symptoms (i.e., migraine symptoms) or to “arrest” symptoms after they appear.

Of course, chiropractors (as natural healers) don’t advise either “for” or “against” any particular medications. However, health consumers should know that even over-the-counter medications have been known to carry serious risks to your health, and prescription medication literature contains long lists of possible side effects.

So before taking any medication, take caution and read the accompanying literature…  to be aware of just what you are taking.

But how on earth does chiropractic fix headaches?

Often, there is interference in the nervous system that results from “out of place” spinal vertebra. This interference prevents the nerves in the area of the “out of place” vertebra from functioning properly. With headache sufferers, the misaligned (or subluxated) vertebra is often in the upper cervical spine (neck area).

Chiropractors are trained to locate and correct spinal misalignments that are the cause of nerve interference. After the interference is fixed, the nerves can function as normal and headaches often resolve themselves completely and naturally!

Your body is a miraculous “well-oiled” machine that is perfectly capable of healing itself when your nervous system is maintained in optimal condition.

If you or someone you love is experiencing frequent or chronic headache pain, suggest they consult a local chiropractor.  Daily, chiropractic care restores hope to the lives of thousands of headache sufferers.

It can do the same for you too!
