A wide walking space is highly desired for most people. Take this into consideration for the size of the furniture. Imagine a line that confines everything that you want to put in that room. Think of usual activities in your life. What good is a nice place if you cannot do anything in it? Free up some space for your indoor exercise routine and other activities of interest. The design of a true minimalist might look a bit too simple for some, but the total design creates a unique look of perfection and tidiness. Most people do not have the confidence regarding colour combination. To help decide with the colours, assign a mood to a particular room. Ideally, the bedroom or the study area would usually be decorated with cool palettes like sky blue to get a calm mood.
Lighting is very important but sometimes becomes impractical especially if they are already fixed. It might be a waste of space or money just to install another light source. It is better to use colours of different shades or hues to add a focal point into the room. You may use dark to light of the same colours or a contrast of earth and bright tones.

Take advantage of discounts but not too much that it will overshadow your goals. Buy something that can fit perfectly to your home taking account of the measurements collected. Do this, and everything will be just right. If you did not, you might find yourself opening a garage sale soon enough.
With practicality, some talent, and a little luck, there is no reason for us to forget about interior design with a small budget, since creating a haven of your own is the right of every person with a will to do it.
